Biography
Mary was born and raised in the northern reaches of Canada in Whitehorse, Yukon. She moved from the north in her twenties with her husband and two daughters and spent the next 20 years living in various British Columbia locations. It was in the town of Fort Nelson where Mary conceived the idea and wrote Andy and the Jam-Jar Genie. Inspired by her children, Sabrina and Natalie, and her work and experiences as a Child and Youth Counselor, Mary decided to put to word a story that had been playing in her mind for quite some time. The story wouldn't come to completion and publication until 20 years later when she was further inspired by her grandson. Mary has many interests and several passions. Art and writing are the two passions that created this novel. Mary presently lives in Kamloops, B.C. with Dave, her husband. Gardening her half acre lot in the small community of Rayleigh takes up what little spare time Mary has left over.
